Community Savings announced its new Board members at its 63rd Annual General Meeting held in Lethbridge on Thursday, February 7. “We’re proud to announce that Amy Corrigan of Red Deer, Perry Dooley of Medicine Hat and Lloyd Robinson of Medicine Hat were all elected to the Community Savings Board of Directors for a three-year term,” stated Bill Anhorn, Board Chairman. Members were able to vote online or in-branch during the Director Elections held January 14-18, 2008.

Amy Corrigan has served on the Red Deer Community Council since 2003. She is the Treasurer and Administrator for Civil Air Search and Rescue Association (CASARA) Alberta. Amy is also self-employed as a Bookkeeper and has been a Working Director for Gorts Truck Wash since 2003. Amy and her husband have two children, and she enjoys camping, running and golfing in her spare time.

Perry Dooley served as a member of the Medicine Hat Commercial Community Council. After completing his Bachelor of Management degree at the University of Lethbridge, Perry worked in numerous positions for the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce in the Calgary area. In 2000, he decided to make a career change and opened a new M&M Meats retail location in Calgary, with a second store opening the following year. Perry moved back to his hometown of Medicine Hat in 2006, and currently owns the M&M Meats store there. He also represents Western Canada on the M&M Meat Shops Advisory Council. Perry is married to Donna, and they are the proud parents of two children

Lloyd Robinson was re-elected for a second term as a Director. He served on the first Community Council of the Bow Island Branch. Lloyd has an extensive background in agriculture and remains an active farmer in the Burdett area. He is currently a member of the National CAIS Committee, the National Intermediary Appeals Board, and is the Chair of the Alberta CAIS Appeals Board. Lloyd has served on various local community boards in the Burdett and Bow Island area. He was past president of the Southern Alberta Curling Association (SACA) and is an Honorary Life Member. Lloyd and his wife Val have two children and six grandchildren.

These newly appointed Board members will join the nine current board members to make up Community Savings 2008 Board of Directors. The current Directors are: William Anhorn (Chairman) of Medicine Hat, David Chernoff of Okotoks, Terry Cooper of Medicine Hat, Rod Fong of Lethbridge, Randy Harper (Vice Chairman) of Red Deer, Dennis Moffat of Red Deer, Simon Neigum of Medicine Hat, Stanley Odut of Calgary and Gail Surkan of Red Deer.
